It is the will of God to live a lifestyle holy and pleasing unto Him that can only be obtained through submission to His Word and infilling of His Spirit. In our "Christian liberty" we are free from sin, not free to sin. We are to live as we should, not as we please. Jesus broke the chain of sin and death to free us from not only the consequences of sin, but of sin altogether. And though we do not earn nor deserve salvation by our works; we will produce works as a result of our salvation. If we have the Spirit of God, the fruit of the Spirit will be evident. As a result, our inward identity will be distinctly revealed through our outward appearance.
As important as it is to live pure and holy lives, it begins with love. Love towards God, others, and self. The Bible clearly states we will be known if we have love one to another. It is a commandment, a right, a responsibility, a mandate, and a privilege to love. Without unconditional love, we can not even begin our walk with God.
